Legal guarantee for used goods

Every piece we sell is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity that the Italian Consumer Code (Articles 128 and following) gives consumers.

It lasts 12 months, because the pieces are used

For new goods the legal guarantee lasts two years. For used goods the law allows it to be reduced, but not below one year, and only if the buyer expressly agrees (Article 133(4) of the Italian Consumer Code). For our pieces the guarantee therefore lasts 12 months from delivery: when you buy, we ask you to accept this with a tick box separate from the one for the terms of sale.

What it covers

The guarantee covers lack of conformity that the piece already had at delivery and that shows up within 12 months: for example a structural or functional defect not described on the piece’s page.

It does not cover:

• signs of use, wear and defects described on the piece’s page or visible in the photographs;
• what is normal for the age and type of the piece;
• damage caused by improper use, by falls or by work done after delivery.

What you can ask for

If the piece has a defect covered by the guarantee, you can ask us to repair it at no cost to you. Because every piece is one of a kind, it is often impossible to replace it with an identical one. If repair is not possible or does not work, you can ask for a price reduction or return the piece and get a refund.

How to claim it

Write to us at [Email di contatto] with the order number, a short description of the defect and a few photographs. We reply to agree on a solution; if needed, we arrange the collection of the piece ourselves.

This guarantee takes nothing away from the other rights the law gives you as a consumer.
